To get RTK you need two things, satellite location and a correction signal for the satellite. If you look at that board on Ardusimple’s website there are pictures of the main black board that has the serial port plug on it, then on that is stacked another black board with a white rectangle, then on top of that there is a black, blue or red board called an xbee. The bottom board will give you a location to connect your serial cable.

The middle board has the GNSS chip (the white rectangle) (also GNSS is an improved version of GPS, GPS can only read US GPS satellites, GNSS can read US satellites, Russian Satellites, European Satellites and Chinese Satellites, so you have a lot more Satellites available)
The middle board has a connector that your antenna wire connects to, it receives satellite date from the antenna, it takes the correction signal from the xbee above it and “corrects” the satellite signal to give you precise RTK positioning. The chip will then send the info to the bottom board to go out to the serial port.

The xBee on top is a way to receive the RTK corrections. (Called RTCM messages, or if RTCM is sent over the internet it’s called NTRIP) if you put on a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth xbee that is used to connect to another device that will send NTRIP to the XBee over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. You should be able to get free NTRIP messages over an android smartphone or windows tablet connected to the internet, which can then pass the NTRIP to the xbee. You can also get a radio xbee, which would require you to build a base station with another Ardusimple gnss board and another xbee radio. The base station would create RTCM messages and send them to your tractor via radio.

Getting everything configured to work together right can be tricky, that’s why I would contact Ardusimple and have them help you. Hopefully this post clears it up a little.
