I honestly wanted a truck mount backhoe 30+ years ago. I first saw one on a Dodge 1 ton it was a Bradco only went 5' depth. I so could have used it on the numerous waterlines we repair. However, I was able to buy a 580SL Case, then also finally got a Mini Ex over a 1 1/2 years ago. So much easier to take and do waterlines.
For a long time wanted to build backhoe I could attach from trailer ball on G/N hitch and rear trailer hitch on flatbed. Just use a Honda motor with pump on it. Use hydraulics to raise it up and unhook. But after mini ex no way would I think about it. |
