| I've never used this waterer and I'm trying to get it working. I'm not sure what, if anything, is supposed to create a seal between the supply line riser pipe, and the elbow fitting. The 3/4" elbow fitting slips on the inner pipe. Then the 1 1/2" locking ring threads onto the outer pipe. It seems to me that there should be more of a seal than the friction fit of the two pressurized parts. They can't be glued together as the shutoff valve is located inside the thermal tube below the waterer. So in order to shut off the waterer, I have to shut down the main line, drain the waterer, remove the valve, and then unbolt and remove the tub from the concrete pad. The pipe connection has never been permanent.
I don't see a name anywhere on the unit. Just guessing it was installed in the 80's.
Anyone encountered this setup before?
