Big Sky Country | We made a cardboard template—-about 30-40 holes and rivets—then drilled 2 1/2” x 8” by as long as would fit fishplates—and bolted them on——mid 70’s square body gmc—-still drives great.
THEN modified front of bed hold downs so frame could flex—-
Neighbor went thru same thing with their fords
No worries—so far—with my DODGE (listen up, Laycock—LOL). But that’s a cannonball—-pivots at back, but just single sloppy hook, centered, towards the front.
