If you do some research you'll find a bunch of cases where dual one tons of all brands have broke in the same place while hauling slide in campers in trucks that have obviously never bounced over a frozen rut or slid through a mud hole. Apparently, if you dent the frame with the clamps they're a time bomb waiting to go off and if you weld them you've compromised the integrity.
