Subject: difference between john deere north and agleader north

Western Oregon
I read a while back, that you can not use guidance lines from deere and expext the same lines to work in AL. Does it have to do with one set of lines being parallel and one ajusting for curvature of the earth? I can not find any explanation online. If track 0 is 0 degrees, guidance with is 100 feet, would you miss the north pole by a 100 feet in a parallel system. Which company uses which system?
