KY | That may work for another group I have, but they have a more dependable water supply as far as lasting longer without risk of freezing over completely. I don't think a freeze miser would help a gravity feed system running on a 1/2" hose on top of the ground for 300 feet or so. I think the hose would freeze even if I left it flowing wide open in a ditch in near zero temps, not to mention my pond wouldn't last long with the low level it has this winter. Right now I just need to know if I have reason to be truly concerned for 48-72 more hours before things thaw a bit, my only option now would be to move them and that wouldn't be an easy thing to do as getting them hauled out of where they are would be iffy. |
