Subject: Out of Practice for a bottle calf

Valley, NE
Welp, its been about 10 years since my last bottle calf off of a cow that wont/wouldn't/cant raise it, and I find myself with a really thin (maybe hardware) cow that calved this morning. I plan to tube the baby with good over the counter colostrum, half now and half at noon, but i'm pretty out of practice getting one started on a bottle. I plan to feed this one 3 times a day, as the last one we did is a 10 year old cow now. any tips on getting her started on a bottle? i have buckets with nipples, and every bottle and nipple assortment you can think of (nice collection of them over the past 30 years at the farm)
