Subject: RE: Steering a tractor sidedressing nonRTK

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I think the Headsight folks used to have a feeler system for sprayers since when I got a hold over kit for my corn head it included a nice brochure. This brochure showed feelers on a sprayer. I called and asked about that and the answer was that since they were bought out they didn't support sprayers anymore. They were surprised that I got the brochure but that was probably because mine was a hold over.

I don't think they every supported tractors and it sounds like they just want to stick with feelers for corn heads now. Their feeler system on my corn head which connected to my Ag Leader Steady Steer motor worked very well. I used the complete Steady Steer in the combine for corn but the Headsight feelers with the Steady Steer motor in corn.

I understand the current thinking and development work with some companies is to use cameras rather than feelers.
