Central Coast, California | The door tracks are welded solid to the roof and door. As long as the door hinges are tight they should swing the door back in place straight enough to line up.
Should is the operative word. I've seen probably 4 trailers with this setup. All of them old. Only one worked and the guy had to work on it constantly to keep it up. Every other one was tied in place. One had a piece of sheet metal screwed to every slat to hold them all in and together.
The guy I knew with the working one was looking at ordering a new trailer a while back and decided the cost of the door and the hassle of keeping it working weren't worth it.
They work great in semis, not so much stock trailers. |
