0 functionality difference between the 2, however the Gen 2 is a lot more robust. Pretty much all the Gen 1s I have out have fried. The only difference is if you use the OEM monitor with the 20/20, you'll need a repeater module with the Gen 2. They don't cost much and ate thrown in with the finish kit when ordering a new system.
