Barry County, MI | y school mate from W Va is 77years old . His grand father was a civil war , prisoner of war in a Confederate prison in Va. so his grandad was born sometime in the 1840s, My friend is still alive and kicking .. I remember when his dad died in 1954 we could see the church where the funeral was held. I remember a half brother of my friend was a very old man back in the 1950s. I remember him telling stories about Kansas . He had to leave Wva over a still problem with the Law. He said they dug quite a deep well and said the last dirt from the bottom of the pile grew a good crop of clover I believe. archie | |
