We just got some ceramic from the Martha Stewart collection. Teflon is one of the "forever" plastics that man has made. It will last in the environment forever even though it wears off the utensil it was made for. They are turning up in water samples as well as blood tests and of course, some blame them for causing cancer. Not sure how the ceramic will last but so far, no stick.
Need new non-stick cookware....
