West central Ohio | I have one pen of calves that I fill a water tank for. They consume 100-120 gallons a day. Dragging the hose in and out of the well house is a pain. I'm thinking of fastening a float to a cinder block at the bottom of the 100 gallon tank and tee'ing a freeze miser to it to keep it flowing. Thinking I can get float to keep 6-8 inches in the bottom. How much water do these things flow? Half way between cincinnati and toledo, generally only a week or 2 of real nasty cold. Will I need to make an overflow for the tank? | |
