Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa

Not so much kindness perhaps, maybe just more on the order of consideration, but shortly after we'd bought our 1/2T diesel Silverado, I pulled in to fuel it for my first time. There weren't a lot of diesel 1/2Ts out yet at that time, and there was a man fueling on the other side of the island when I pulled up. As I got the diesel nozzle out of the holder, he mentioned "that truck sure runs quiet for a diesel". I knew full well that some other men would have said something much more along the line of "hey, don't be dumb....don't put diesel in that new truck" but he was considerate enough to give me a reasonable "out" in case I was being dumb or inadvertent. I appreciated his attitude a lot.
