Pittsburg, Kansas | I noticed that for many years. Gain some in the fall/winter. Lose some the next spring and summer. That is probably normal. Only problem was each fall/winter I might gain 5 or 6 pounds then the next spring/summer only lose 3 or 4. Over a 40 year time span that resulted in more or less a hundred pound weight gain. None of it came on fast. Just a slow accumulation (with the exception when I went on insulin shots - that jumped me up 10-20 pounds pretty quickly. Also at a point I was doing much less physical labor).
It sneaks up on a person over time. Changed the diet (and got off insulin shots) and it went away. Went from about 270-275 down to 165-170 and stayed there for 3-4 years. In the last year have gained about 10 pounds back so around 180 right now (I'm 6'2"). Been doing some resistance exercise (while diet staying pretty much similar) so hopefully that is 10 pounds of muscle. :-) Pants still fit the same.
