Subject: RE: Buying farm ground

Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa

Farmtruckguitar - 10/26/2023 20:14 The price of farm ground is high interest is high and my age is high. It's not that I can't afford it but it's across the fence. Why do I want to purchase. Am I just chasing my tail. Has anyone regretted buying ground in your 60s

"Here"....the "across the fence" comment would seal the deal no matter what. We bought the piece across the road when the DH was 68. Scary as He//. But we'd lived across from that farm for 42 years, I'd lived across from it for 63, and my granddad had been offered the chance to buy it the last time it sold and he didn't think he was able to do it, financially, so he called his good friend and asked if he might be interested in it. There wasn't a way we could not put forth our best effort to buy it. Expensive??......oh my goodness gracious, yes. Would it sell for more on auction next Saturday?.........yes, yes it would. But that's not in the plan, ever.
