I am kind of the same opinion.

Some cancers are very treatable with lots of good results. Others not so much. If it were me that is the first thing I would want to know. If treatment is usually highly successful, then I no doubt would go with conventional treatment (while exploring other options also). If treatment meant I live six months instead three........all while being in the hospital most of the time...........naaaaaa. No thanks. My attitude then would be "what do I have to lose (taking dog wormer or horse wormer or anything else)." Get things in end of life order and enjoy what little (or more) time I have left.
