Dr Westman knew Adkins and was first introduced to low carb way of eating through the influence of Adkins. He tells the fake news story that some of the vegan community promotes that Adkins died of a heart attack. Nothing of the sort happened. Westman knew him personally and he slipped and fell on the ice. A couple days later he died of bleeding in the brain. His death due completely from an accident. Yet the "Adkins died of a heart attack because of his diet" myth persists.
