Northwest Iowa | Had a weird experience last week. I was watching TV after the rest of the household had gone to bed. Might have dozed off a little. It was about 11:00pm. Wife comes downstairs (2 story house) and tells me there is a baby rabbit in the bedroom looking at her. I gave her the "Are you out of your mind?" look without saying it. Grabbed my flashlight and headed up to do my chivalrous duty to save the damsel in distress. She was right, there was a little bunny on the pile of clothes. Live one at that. Cottontail. I did my deed and caught it and released it outdoors. But--- How in the heck did it get there? The boys both said they didn't bring it in. I certainly didn't. The cat is inside only and the dog would have at least had it all slimey if not dead. But on the 2nd floor? Lots of questions with this escapade. | |
