Subject: RE: Eating field corn.

Virginia
It was in the late 90's or very early 2000's , my grandmother picked up some sweet corn at a local fruitstand. Around the same time Dad and I were looking at some corn we had on a creek bottom. It was southern states 943 I believe. It was a dual purpose corn for either grain or silage. We picked some if it and had nanny ( my grandmother ) cook it.
It blew away the sweet corn lol. My grandmother even had to admit it lol. We must have picked it at the right time I guess. That was my only experience but based on that field corn was the best. That variety would have been a conventional variety. I wonder if that made a difference?
