Subject: Tipping a Fishing Guide

western iowa
Just got back from 3 days of fishing at Chamberlain SD. Guided fishing where the service rents you rooms and the guide is using his own boat and pickup to take you out to fish. Rate for 3 people is $575 a day. Room fee is separate. What should a proper tip to the guide be? I was with 2 older guys and feel we might not have tipped enough. We like the guide and even though fishing conditions were hard we did ok and got our limit on Walleyes. Some say 15-20%. At the higher rate it would have been about $345 tip for the 3 days. Anyone have any suggestions in this situation? I tend to tip 20-25% in a restaurant for good service but this is a little bigger deal. Thanks for any thoughts on this.
