swohio | SW Ohio here and never seen it this dry at this time of the year. Planted corn into tall rye because we had 2.7" May 7th and though here we go again with too much water after drier than normal April. Looks like little to no corn on some, rye sucked out all the water. Have beans to plant, they have no water. Going to plant them and hope it rains. This is a long way from the end, but if you can't a stand to begin with, well not good. First failure with corn into cover crop ever it looks like. | |
