It's hard to blow the rad and coolers out with them stacked so close to gather,I hot water power wash with a 90 degree homemade tip before planting on and off for a couple of hours each spring.During planting I've got a 3 foot long 1/2" square tube with one end welded shut and a air chuck welded on the other with a 5/16 hole drilled in the side of it.
Low air flow 'plugged radiators'across a vicious clutch makes them not work very good,we learned this back in the 1980s when we ran pick-up sprayers.
At higher RPMs you should hear a pretty loud fan roar on your 7930 when the clutch is fully engaged,I can start to hear ours at 208 degrees planting.
Theyll tell you to turn it by hand when the engines cold it should be stiff. Our 9620 is on its third clutch they all turned hard when cold, only way to check for sure was to bolt it solid and run it in the field, temp would stay 195-200 bolted up. | |
