Just finished year two of no tilling into corn stalks, and I've only had one minor problem. One little chunk of the push part of a fitting that goes into the cylinder broke off. Just patched it up with tape for the day and got a new fitting the next morning. Never had any air lines break, just the one pulled out of the fitting.
Cue tons of problems next year now that I've said that.
