NW Washington | What you want to do is easier said than done. Plants have a natural ability to protect themselves and when you plant a mixture of plants together usually the strong ones will dominate and the weak will fail.
I think that maybe planting the different crops in separate rows might work better than if they were mixed together, but that is just conjecture on my part.
