Being organic, I don't like to plant unless it is into good moisture as there'll usually be some that get into moisture going shallow and there'll be some weeds that find moisture and make weed control a disaster.
If you have good moisture at 3" deep set row cleaners to make a 1" furrow and set the planter to put them 3" deep.
