Have you run across any explanation of why I'd be having muscle cramps while on the low carb diet?
Encountered muscle cramps in places I've never had them (back, thighs, legs; used to be hands and that was only from dehydration). I've found it's pretty easy to skip proper hydration and without the salt of the "bad" food, one can get pretty dehydrated without knowing it, especially during the transition. That's my guess anyway. Drinking more water and consciously adding salt seems to make a big difference. Some habits are hard to break, such as adding salt since we had been beaten with "salt is bad" for so long. |
