Wisconsin | What do you want the motor to do? A vfd is well worth it if you need the features. A handful of capacitors and a start relay will start and run a three phase motor if the load is easy to start, and you don't need more than 2/3 of the rated power. Or you can get a static phase converter that does the same thing as the capacitors, or a rotary that does the same thing as the capacitors, but has a spinning motor to help do it better. | |
