He has done a LOT of research on the subject to bring up all those old studies, who did them, and the prevailing idea and thrust behind them. And it takes a lot more than just reading the abstract to tease out all that information. It is strange how a hypothesis got promoted even though the data didn't really support it. It seemed like such a good idea/hypothesis it just could not be wrong. But it was.
