I feel the same way also. I understand how some consider it good etiquette but the practical side of me can’t get over the fact that people have to spend a lot of money to say something that everyone actually already knows, that is that they appreciate the gifts they get. To me it is a waste of time and money. It’s likely a good thing that my wife is also more into that sort of social etiquette type of stuff as it is important to some people. Nothing wrong with that, it’s just not my thing.
