I graduated high school in 2020, and I sent out thank you cards to everyone who gave me a card. But I was really surprised that a couple people I talked to in the months following thanked me for sending them a thank you card, and then started naming some people who didn’t send them one. Personally I couldn’t care less if someone sent me a thank you card, I’m just gonna open it and throw it in the garbage anyway. It’s probably best to not expect it and if you do get one it’s a nice surprise.
