Subject: RE: Trimble TrueTracker - Nav Location

West-Central IL
This is the only one I have seen in person. But any I've seen in pics, brochures, and instructions all put it in back. Like you said, it just makes sense until you really stop to think about it and ask yourself why. It's the GPS antenna position that critical and the planter frame and hitch are always in the same plane.

Your absolutely right that GPS antenna height is important. When I said height didnt matter, I was referring only to the nav controller. If a pole is leaned x degrees, it doesnt matter if the pole is 1 ft or 100 ft long, the nav will still be leaned x degrees no matter where on the pole its located. The nav doesn't record location, just tilt.

Thanks for the tip about getting nav square (plum) with planter. I would have thought there was a calibration to "0" it in the calibration settings.

I am aware of the nav orientation setting, as I have used autopilot for some time, but am completely new to truetracker and protracker. However, I appreciate all your suggestions.

Thank you very much.
