| Forgive me for my soapbox! I use the local lumberyard for all my needs. Wife and I are starting our shouse this spring. In the past as I did bigger projects I compared to the big box stores. If it was a drastic difference that I felt was too much, I would show them the price difference and they would adjust. Not beat, but adjust. I am willing to pay 10% more to get better materials, everything is delivered, if need more it is delivered for free within a satisfactory timeframe, and I don’t have to deal with the people that are “professionals” at the box stores. The same people that drive forty miles to save 10% are in my opinion, kidding themselves to think they are ahead. They are then the biggest complainer when the local business has to close up shop for lack of business. JMHO
