I buy the 25 pin printer cables with male pins on both ends and cut them in half and then you have 2 potential switches. Usually a long cable 8 or 10 feet. It's always easier to cut them shorter if you don't need all the cable, and then I can put a momentary push switch or rocker or whatever you like wherever you like. You have to locate the wires for the pins which sometimes takes a while. I have also used unused switches on hydro control handles. eg. the Fore/aft switch on my swather as we had no fore/ aft on the header. I have also fabricated holders for rocker switches that I could slide over hydraulic levers. I like to have the engage switch where it is most convenient.
