Subject: RE: Eating at restaurants

East central Iowa

There are maybe 3 places that offer a  meal I won't have at home.  I don't enjoy the experience of eating at a restaurant but once maybe in 6 to 8 months or so we might make a trip to one of the 3.  (actually now down to 2 because my wife doesn't want to go to a buffet)

Then there's the concern for food prep and storage. https://iowa.safefoodinspection.com/Inspection/PublicInspectionSearch.aspx

"Every year, an estimated 1 in 6 Americans (or 48 million people) get sick, 128,000 are hospitalized, and 3,000 die from foodborne diseases."

"the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), researchers found that 44% of foodborne illness outbreaks were tied to restaurants, compared to 24% that occurred at home. That means that you're twice as likely to get food poisoning eating at a restaurant than you are at home."

If you live in Iowa you can probably find information about your favorite restaurant, convenience store, deli, etc by using the link I provided.
