NE WI | Nothing flys better than balsa. I learned on a balsa USA stick 40. Only had the three channel version back then. I augered it into the ground on more than one occasion. Clean the dirt out of the OS FP40, bolt on a new prop, add new rubber bands to hold the wing on and if needed straighten out the landing gear. This was flown with a non computer Futaba Conquest AM radio.
With the FAAs grubby fingers in regulating toys I suggest another hobby. I don’t recommend anything that flys for recreation. Get a RC car or get into model railroading. I doubt the DOT will regulate those hobbies. | |
