We are at the point where the available supply of corn is at it's lowest level

but that is going to change fast over the next 10 days as the moisture drops in the corn that is in the field

I would see nothing wrong with setting the basis on that corn you will want to move by March

basis is going to widen pretty fast so make your decision and ACT


I agree if basis is inverted and you can move it now that makes sense……but if you are just done harvesting corn…..i would think supply is already big???


My view is if harvest is 50% done in your area or more that you should see basis appreciate after harvest wraps up……

Bottom line it seems as OP has to move the corn asap to empty a bin…..so you are almost forced to set basis on that
