They are on grass
Getting a 14% brood ewe feed , 1# every other day as he thought they were getting a little fat before . Free choice mineral tub

Need to describe the grass - - - maintenance grass, decent grass, lush grass.
1# of 14# every other day.

Hmmm - - - if your grass is past its prime you're looking at maybe 12% protein - - - if that.

Late gestation is recommended at somewhat over 14% protein - - - I find (I feed lots of alfalfa - - - little to no pasture at that time) that higher protein pays off in spades.

The milk should come in for the ewes that have lambed - - - might take some 24 hrs but you do have to get some colostrum into the lambs - - - steal from the ewes that have milk but you do need to get some colostrum into the lambs.

Everyone hates bummers yet they try to starve in a profit - - - I've not seen it work.
IMO it takes twins at a minimum to make a buck.
Your genetics are likely not the main issue - - - the groceries are a much bigger part of the issue.
You may have bummer lambs if their milk doesn't come in - - - its part of the game.
