Subject: RE: Saw this in the parking lot at the local dealer today

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I bought a used Quad Trac Tractor at a farm auction a couple of years ago. Apparently one of the previous owners, didn't like or didn't want to purchase a genuine breather assembly for the fuel tank.

Instead they found a piece of pipe of the correct size to fit the fitting on top of the fuel tank and found an adapter to make it fit the threads of a spin on oil filter. The filter seems to be one of those full sized ones that were used on older cars It actually makes a rather nice breather in that air can come in from the bottom and the pipe holds it above the fuel level at all times. I haven't bothered to change it as it seems to work fine.

I jokingly asked a tech who was out on a service call if that was OEM. He said NO.
