Guess it would work.. not sure it would keep water out. Tank does not look very secure. I assume flat bottom? I use 30 gallon barrel for transfer. The 55 barrel was too heavy to load by hand. It’s enough to finish far fields, close ones if I start full, going home is worth it.
I have used plastic bag, tape, rubber band when fuel cap lost. I was worried about vacuum. But plastic did not suck in much.
