We did just what you are describing last week. Used a VR script made for a field with widely variable soils. Our set up has dropnozzles with an 18” plastic line below that. Ran anywhere from 20-46 gal per acre, just have to adjust ground spreed to match orifice size. Worked well for us without any leaf burn, here we turn the pivot on as we leave the field to wash in the nitrogen.
