Use 6" or 8" PVC. Thread through both the cap and the pipe. Thread a nipple in and use hose clamps to attach to the pen. Rotate the whole thing so the nipple is toward the side so they don't scratch on it. My kids are using some made in about 1989. They still work fine. What fair in southern OH won't let anyone use PVC waterers?
