Had gout a good 20 years ago. Doc first gave me some pills to get thru the episode. Then he put me on allopurinol. Take one pill every day. Never had it again.
Same here, I've taken Allopurinol for over 27 years. Been good ever since. I think it was Indocin that was a quick cure for flareups before Allopurinol treatment. Indocin is hard on your stomach, so only for short term.
And to original poster, as far as your Wife, it's your body that hurts and pain reliever will ease the pain with minor side effects. Does she have any pains to know what it's like. |
