I wouldn't go so far as to say that you would never find an '07 engine in an '07 truck. Most truck manufacturers pre-bought a bunch of '06 engines and stockpiled them before they started building '07 trucks, but I really doubt that inventory lasted them the entire year. Regardless, I stand by my assertion that DPFs started with '07 engines.
Is there a range of years to avoid on semis?
