NW IA | Likely a worthless contribution to this topic, but with soybean stubble I found that on my home farm where we spread liquid dairy manure (free stall manure in a box spreader) as light and fast as practical the straw would be so decomposed that the field cultivator would not plug.
The bean straw on another farm with 10-15 BPA lower yields would not pass through the field cultivator. Also should mention there is no chopper on our 1620 CIH combine.
Not juice from a jug, but if you could top spread liquid manure and let the soil livestock get after the residue for a bit in the fall and again in the spring it might help. | |
