N.W. Ohio
Wayne, I know exactly what you’re looking at, we fared a little better than you guys south of us. So overall I’m pretty pleased with most of our corn. In fact it’s mostly the latest planted corn in our neighborhood that looks the worst. A number of years back we had a couple of corn fields that looked sick like you’re talking about, we post sprayed Coron over the top and the fields improved almost immediately and went on to yield just under 200. There are some generic versions of product same as Coron on the market that are considerably cheaper. In fact with the price of N, we’re making an application across most of our corn acres this year and reduced the N rate by a small amount. Good luck, I hope the season starts going better for you soon!
