Tuscola, IL | I’m kinda torn in that, Ron. I’m not sure what the answer is. We don’t pay any special attention to where our one DEF equipped tractor’s level is over the winter and it sits in cold storage. Last winter it was probably 3/4-7/8 full. I would say it’s probably better to leave them full rather than empty. That would at least help save the tank. Could also fill with straight water so long as you drained it over winter. The tank is made to withstand partial freezing but I don’t know how it would do with a fully frozen solid tank of water. This would still leave the pump, lines and dosing module, as well as the reaction chamber unused. | |
