Subject: RE: Oil level in Honda motors.

Bremen, KS
I don't know if this holds true on their utility engines but I have been told that on their ATVs that the oil level is correct when after the dipstick is removed and then just placed back into the tube without screwing it in and then removed the oil touches the top of the hashed area. It was said that filling to the top of the hashed area when the dipstick is crewed all the way in results in too low of an oil level.

Maybe there is an operators manual online that can explain this. It seems all of the things with an engine on it that arrive here second hand lack any documentation.
