northeastern Ohio | Update: Took a water sample to my water softener guy. He is the one that installed the water softener, so he had a record from 2019 of the water sample. It was 6.9 pH in 2019. Today it was 6.0. So the pH has dropped in the past 3 years.
Water guy said that was unusual. He only has a couple customers in the area with lower pH. None of them are near my Mom's house. He wasn't too concerned about 6.0, but if it drops anymore then he would recommend installing a soda ash injector.
I put a cup of soda ash in the brine tank this morning and started a regen. I'll do another one this afternoon to do the other tank (dual tank water softener). Water guy didn't think it would help, but won't hurt. | |
